Take Your Pick—Nine Months, Two Years or Career Missionary

SHORT TERM

End Bible Poverty Now Trailblazers – 9 Months

  • Learn to Know God and to Make God Known in a Heroes DTS (Discipleship Training School).
  • Go to a Bible deprived region to make relationships and learn the culture
  • Begin making life-giving stories from the Bible in the region's trade language
  • Continue to complete a set of 10-15 stories in the region's trade language
  • This will establish a significant trailhead for End Bible Poverty Now Pioneer Teams to follow.

In your final month on the field, a two-year team will join you so you can pass the baton and not lose any valuable momentum.

  • Share your cultural insights
  • Introduce the men and woman of peace you have befriended
  • Hand over your trade language stories as a kick start to the Bibleless Language Story Project
  • Continue to communicate with the new team and raise up an intercessory prayer team back home to pray and support the ongoing work
  • Consider a short term outreach to come back to encourage the new team and continue the relationships you began with the local people

INTERMEDIATE

End Bible Poverty Now Pioneers – 2 Years

  • Learn to Know God and to Make God Known in a Heroes DTS (Discipleship Training School).
  • Learn the culture and complete a set of 15-20 Bible story narratives in the region's trade language, as well as study language and culture.
  • Create a set of 15-20 Bible story narratives in the Bible deprived language and establish Story Fellowship Groups (plant churches)
  • Disciple locals to do what you do from the very beginning so that everything is reproducible (not dependent on you)

When you leave you will have provided the Word of God to a formerly Bible deprived people group and begun groups of disciples who in turn can disciple others.

CAREER

Your path to the field, becoming a missions mobilizer or staff missionary at our home base in the Rocky Mountains consists of two training programs:

  1. Complete a DTS (Discipleship Training School) which is focused on developing key missionary character traits. The DTS is a five month course which consists of three months of teaching and intensive personal discipleship and two months of overseas field experience which develops the Messenger of the Gospel in a team-oriented holistic YWAM community environment.
  2. Complete an SOSM (School Of Strategic Missions) which is focused on developing key missionary skills and strategies. The SOSM is a five month course of intensive missionary skills training where we form teams and work on team-building, and train you in all the essential tools you’ll need to be part of an effective cross-cultural church planting team among Unreached People Groups. You’ll learn how to turn your education and degree into an entry platform which will allow you to live and minister in the seven most strategic missions fields of the 21st Century.
